Valeriu Binig, Strategy Principal at PPC Group, is one of the speakers of MIRSANU DEALMAKERS SUMMIT 2024.
Valeriu Binig is a PhD engineer with over 38 years of experience. He is a former power plant operation engineer, researcher, lecturer, coordinator of EU assistance programs, consultant, top utility company executive and boards member.
Valeriu is a former Deputy CEO for Development (and member of the BoA) of RENEL/CONEL, former chairman of the BoA of Electrica, Termoelectrica, Romanian Energy Efficiency Fund and a former consultant for privatization and attraction of private funds in gas and electricity distribution and transmission, energy complexes (lignite and hard coal), nuclear power units, Tarnita-Lapustesti pumped storage hydropower plant, other power producers.
As Deloitte Corporate Finance Director has advised in renewable energy projects transactions. As EY Partner has led the assistance for the quantitative modelling for the National Energy Strategy in 2016 and has advised utility companies in Smart Transformation. He is a member of Eurelectric and EU DSO expert groups and an associated lecturer with the FABIZ Energy MBA program. Presently, Valeriu is Strategy Principal with the PPC group, after 5 years of heading the Regulatory&Antitrust Affairs of ENEL Romania and PPC Romania.
