Peter Mathe, Investment Manager at Portfolion, is one of the speakers of MIRSANU INVESTORS SUMMIT 2026.

Peter Mathe focuses on growth equity and PE investments across Central and Eastern Europe, with particular responsibility for the Romanian market. His work spans the full investment cycle, from sourcing and due diligence through deal execution, portfolio monitoring and value creation alongside management teams.

He joined Portfolion in April 2022. Portfolion, founded in 2010 and part of the OTP Group, is a CEE-focused venture capital and growth equity fund manager headquartered in Budapest, Hungary, with AUM of over EUR 750 million. Portfolion has dedicated VC, growth, and PE strategies. Peter is primarily working on the growth fund, typically investing from EUR 5 million to EUR 30 million in more mature companies that hold strong local market positions, show impressive growth potential, and are pursuing international expansion.

Before joining Portfolion, Peter gained extensive investment banking experience at the Budapest office of Invescom Corporate Finance, where he worked on the structuring and execution of complex corporate finance assignments, including cross-border M&A transactions, capital raisings, and valuation projects.

Peter holds an M.Sc. in Finance & Investments from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, and also studied at the National University of Singapore Business School.

William R. Watson, Managing Partner of Value4Capital, is one of the speakers of MIRSANU INVESTORS SUMMIT 2025.

Value4Capital is a Poland and Central European focused private equity firm.

Bill began investing in Central Europe in 1992 with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

He continued with Baring Private Equity Partners from 1997 and Société Générale Asset Management from 2005.  In October 2011 he and his partners spun-out with the fund raised under the SGAM brand to become Value4Capital. They are currently investing their second independent fund, V4C Poland Plus Fund II.

A Canadian and French citizen, he has been a board member at portfolio companies across central Europe and played an active role in the industry as a member of Invest Europe’s Mid-Market Platform Council from 2012 to 2018 and a member and then Chairman of its Professional Standards Committee.  Bill is currently Chairman of the Invest Europe CEE Task Force.
