Ioana Filipescu Stamboli has over 30 years of experience in financial advisory and investment banking. Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal Romania as Managing Director, she held positions at leading institutions including the EBRD, Raiffeisen Group, KPMG and Deloitte, and as an independent advisor she established herself as one of the most highly regarded M&A specialists in the country.
Throughout her career, she has played a decisive role in closing numerous M&A transactions. She has primarily advised local entrepreneurs on the sale of their businesses, while also working with private equity funds and multinational corporations.
She is recognized as one of Romania’s leading M&A advisors, ranked in the tops by number of completed transactions over the 2005–2022 period according to the league tables of Mergermarket, the global M&A intelligence provider. She is a graduate of the École Nationale d’Administration (ENA) in Paris and holds an Executive MBA and a master’s degree in engineering.
