Simona Marin, Partner & Head Banking and Finance Dentons Bucharest: Ma astept sa vedem anul viitor mai multa finantare clasica, verde si sustenabila si mai putine obligatiuni. Trebuie sa facem diferenta intre creditul verde si cel sustenabil, ultimul putand fi accesat de o gama mai larga de companii pentru mai multe tipuri de proiecte

“Asteptarile mele sunt ca in masura in care obligatiunile devin mai scumpe si trendul pe partea de finantari pare sa urmeze aceasta schimbare in piata de capital. Imi puneam intrebarea de ce am vazut anul acesta semnificativ mai multe credite verzi sau sustenabile fata de anul trecut inafara de experienta pietei.  Vorbind cu banci si inteleg ca impresia este similara si anume ca multi dintre imprumutatii care in ultimii ani s-au folosit de obligatiuni pentru a atrage capital se asteapta ca se vor intoarce iar la imprumuturile clasice, cu twistul green sau sustainable“, a declarat Simona Marin, Partener si Head of Banking and Finance in cadrul biroului Dentons din Bucuresti, in cadrul THE SUSTAINABILITY CHALLENGE 2022, eveniment organizat pe 25 octombrie de catre jurnalul de tranzactii MIRSANU.RO.

“Cei care au mai multa experienta pe piata de capital ne asteptam ca se vor indrepta chiar catre imprumuturi green si sustainable, deja sunt obisnuiti, stiu cum sa raporteze, cum sa autorizeze, stiu asteptarile. Asta nu inseamna ca societati noi, care nu au experienta pe piata de capital, nu se vor indrepta catre imprumuturi“, adauga ea.

“Asteptarile mele pentru anul viitor sunt sa vedem mai multa finantare clasica, green si sustainable, si mai putine obligatiuni“, puncteaza Simona Marin de la Dentons.

“Anul acesta am vazut o crestere semnificativa a creditelor verzi si a celor cu link de sustenabilitate. Noi la biroul din Bucuresti am asistat 5 proiecte de genul acesta. Este drept ca majoritatea s-au focusat pe real estate green assets (active verzi – n.r.) sau pe energie regenerabila. Cu toate acestea, avem si sustainability link credits (credite cu link de sustenabilitate – n.r.), nu in Romania, ci in afara, dar cred ca o sa facem catch up (recuperare – n.r.) si o sa vina si in Romania“, explica avocatul Dentons.

“Este important sa distingem intre creditul verde si creditul sustenabil. Fara sa fiu subiectiva, creditul sustenabil imi place mai mult decat creditul verde pentru ca totusi are un impact vizibil. Este foarte important sa ajutam industriile sa ajunga la un moment in care profilul lor ecologic sau impactul lor asupra mediului nu este atat de daunator. Nu trebuie sa ne focusam doar pe credite verzi“, detaliaza Simona Marin.

“Daca te uiti la un credit verde cumva te uiti ca sunt anumite companii care nu pot acesa credite verzi pentru ca au un impact negativ asupra mediului“, afirma avocatul biroului Dentons din Bucuresti.

“Este adevarat ca aceste credite verzi nu exclud automat posibilitatea ca o astfel de companie sa acceseze un astfel de credit. Dar pe de alta parte, cred ca aceste companii se preteaza mai bine pentru creditele sustenabile si diferenta fiind ca pentru un credit verde trebuie sa gasesti un proiect verde, trebuie sa folosesti creditul exclusiv pentru finantarea acelui proiect, pe cand pentru un credit sustenabil, focusul este sa incercam sa ajutam compania sa-si imbunatateasca profilul ecologic sau impactul asupra mediului“, adauga Simona Marin.

“Bancile monitorizeaza aceste aspecte printr-o serie de KPI (key performance indicators) care sunt indici de performanta in ideea in care o anumita companie, un anumit imprumutat sa-si imbunatateasca profilul pe perioada creditului si ii ofera niste beneficii pentru a face asta, poate se imprumuta in termeni mai favorabili cu cat isi imbunatateste profilul si impactul ecologic. Si atunci mi se pare ca este genul de credit care incurajeaza companile sa se poarte responsabil. Pe de alta parte, un credit verde este foarte important, nu neg importanta regenerabilelor, nu neg importanta cladirilor verzi“, a mai spus Simona Marin, Partener si Head of Banking and Finance in cadrul biroului Dentons din Bucuresti, in cadrul evenimentului THE SUSTAINABILITY CHALLENGE 2022.
