Romulus Mircea, Head of Treasury Raiffeisen Bank Romania: Pana acum am avut o cadenta de 300 – 350 mil. Euro pe an obligatiuni in format verde sau sustenabil. Fondurile atrase le directionam in proportie de 70% catre finantari noi si maxim 30% catre refinantari

Euro plasate in ultimii 3 ani.

Finantam parcuri logistice, centre comerciale. Suntem in ambele zone prezenti.

Si avem si niste praguri definite in acest cadru 70% din fonduri sa fie utilizate catre finantari noi si maxim 30%  refinantari”, a subliniat reprezentantul Raiffeisen Bank Romania, unul dintre pionierii si liderii locali in emisiunile de obligatiuni in format verde si sustenabil.

„In zona proiectelor sociale, ne concentram pe finantarea IMM-urilor si cresterea accesului la servicii si infrastructura esentiala in regiunile subdezvoltate la nivel national pentru ca daca ne uitam pe macroregiuni o sa vedem o dispersie foarte mare a activitatii economice, concentrata evident mai degraba in zona Capitalei si in zona de vest, iar in restul tarii la nivel de PIB per capita toate regiunile se situeaza sub media de 75% din PIB per capita la nivelul Uniunii Europene”, a mai spus Romulus Mircea, Head of Treasury al Raiffeisen Bank Romania, la panelul Finantare din cadrul evenimentului organizat de catre jurnalul de tranzactii MIRSANU.RO.

Partenerii evenimentului THE SUSTAINABILITY CHALLENGE 2023 sunt Alro, Erste Asset Management Romania, Raiffeisen Bank Romania si Dentons, iar Partener de hidratare este La Fantana.

FIRST VIEW to THE SUSTAINABILITY CHALLENGE 2023. Romulus Mircea, Head of Treasury Raiffeisen Bank Romania: The total value of green projects that are expected to be implemented in Romania by 2030 is around EUR 60 bn which requires contribution from all relevant stakeholders

„Reaching the Paris Agreement and EU’s climate objectives requires a transformation of the financial system in a facilitator of financial resources towards projects that contribute to a low-emission economy, resilient in front of climate changes effects. The Romanian economy requires significant investments to achieve these objectives. A recent study published by the National Committee for Macroprudential Oversight (CNSM) estimates the total value of green projects that are expected to be implemented in Romania by 2030 at around EUR 60 bn. It is a significant financing need which requires contribution from all relevant stakeholders (banking sector, international financial institutions, investors through debt capital markets, shareholders, public authorities).”, said Romulus Mircea, Head of Treasury Raiffeisen Bank Romania.

„The issuance of green and sustainability bonds is part of Raiffeisen Bank’s sustainability strategy and underlines our firm commitment (i) to contribute to Romania’s transition towards a durable economy and inclusive society as well as (ii) to support local capital markets development through sustainable finance instruments. Through the latest EUR 300 mn Eurobond issuance in sustainability format we aim to fund eligible projects that support both green transition – with focus on renewable energy, circular economy, green buildings, clean transportation or sustainable agriculture – as well as social development through financing of SMEs and access to essential services and infrastructure in underdeveloped regions across Romania.”, he added.
