As a Director specialising in M&A Advisory, Leonard brings extensive expertise in guiding clients through complex transactions and strategic financial decisions. Leonard is a CMA-certified professional with over 14 years of experience in the financial sector, including 10 years as Finance Director and Corporate Controller for a Fortune 1000, Nasdaq-listed company. During this time, he spearheaded multiple finance transformation initiatives (Chapter 11 emergence, divestitures, restructuring), optimised operational efficiency, drove strategic growth and supported a boutique private equity firm in establishing its presence in the Romanian market.
His expertise spans M&A transactions, corporate governance, controllership, internal audit, and internal controls. Combined with Six Sigma certification, this foundation enables him to deliver operational excellence and robust risk management. In the M&A area, Leonard has extensive experience across both buy-side and sell-side engagements, covering a broad spectrum of industries including Healthcare, Industrials, Technology, Retail, and Energy. He leverages deep technical knowledge and a process-driven approach to ensure efficiency and value creation throughout the entire deal lifecycle.
Leonard holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and a Master’s degree in International Business Management from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. His track record includes delivering high value in M&A transactions across varied sectors and leading multiple finance transformation initiatives.
