Raul Ciurtin, founder of Prefera Foods, is one of the speakers of MIRSANU DEALMAKERS SUMMIT 2021 in the M&A panel.
He founded Prefera Foods in 2016, one of the largest companies of canned food in Romania,includes brands such as „Capricii şi Delicii” (zacusca, pate and ready-made food) and „Unfished”, the first brand for plant-based alternatives to fish, an innovative category of sustainable products.
Raul Ciurtin is a founder of Verdino Green Foods in 2019, the first Romanian producer that launched sustainable plant-based brand based on pea protein, Verdino.For 17 years he has been President of Albalact, sold in 2016 to the French group Lactalis.
At Albalact, he has constantly innovated and launched Romanian top brands, Zuzu and Fulga, and opened one of the most modern dairy factories in Eastern Europe. He managed to grow Albalact as the leader of the Romanian dairy market.
Raul Ciurtin is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine in Cluj.
