Nicoleta Mihai, Associate Partner, Head of Restructuring & Insolvency, KPMG in Romania, is one of the speakers of THE SUSTAINABILITY CHALLENGE 2024.
She has over 20 years of experience in consultancy services, civil law and financial and operational restructuring services. Nicoleta and her colleagues in the Restructuring team have supported companies and their stakeholders facing challenging situations by providing services including: Turnaround, Financial restructuring, Independent Business Review (IBR), Liquidity management, Insolvency prevention proceedings, Insolvency procedures and Distressed M&A support.
As a lawyer, Nicoleta has extensive experience in litigation as well as long and ongoing experience in legal project management of complex restructuring and recovery projects, sales of assets and contracts portfolios in business transfer procedures. In terms of Pre-insolvency and Turnaround, Nicoleta has extensive local and cross-border experience within the transport sector, oil and gas, assurance. Nicoleta is also closely involved in the development of legislation and regularly provides training sessions to financial entities as well as giving lectures in seminars and conferences initiated by TMA Romania, UNPIR and INSOL Europe. Before joining KPMG, Nicoleta gained diverse and broad experience with a blue chip corporate foundation, as well as with another Big4 company. and has considerable experience of legal and operational restructuring leadership.
