Monica Cojocaru, Partner at Schoenherr si Asociatii SCA, is one of the speakers of THE SUSTAINABILITY CHALLENGE 2024.

With 22 years of experience as a lawyer, she specialises in corporate/M&A, energy, infrastructure and regulatory. Monica advises a strong portfolio of clients active in the energy sector, covering oil & gas, electricity (including nuclear power), and renewables. In the renewable energy market, she has advised investors and developers in all phases of the development and operation of wind, photovoltaic, biomass, hydro projects.

Her relevant track record covers advice on M&A transactions, project development, plant operation, regulatory matters, including grid connection, electricity trading, power purchase agreements, operating and maintenance agreements, and support mechanisms. Monica has been involved in various legislation drafting initiatives in the electrical power sector, also covering renewable energy. She is recognised for her activity in M&A and energy by major international legal directories (Chambers, Legal500, IFLR1000).
