George Badescu, Executive Director of The Romanian Association of Large Retailers Networks (AMRCR), is one of the speakers of THE SUSTAINABILITY CHALLENGE 2023, an event organized by the transaction journal MIRSANU.RO and dedicated to changes and challenges generated by sustainability in business models and financing models of the companies.
He graduated from Faculty of Law in Bucharest in 1992, the National School of Political and Administrative Studies – International Relations in 1994 and the College of Europe in Bruges in 1995, where he obtained a Master’s degree in Community Law.
Later George Badescu was editor of Foreign News at Romanian Television – TVR – correspondent in Moscow and Rome. Between 1996 and 2000 he held the position of Corporate Affairs Executive at Philip Morris Romania and from 2000 to 2009 he was Legal Counselor of the US Embassy in Bucharest.
In 2003, he was awarded the Meritorious Honor Award by the US Embassy Romania and the following year, the US Department of Justice presented him with the International Certificate of Appreciation.
On October 26, 2023, MIRSANU.RO transaction journal is hosting an OFFLINE event for business leaders, entrepreneurs, bankers, investors, advisors and other important stakeholders involved in the sustainability chain.
