„According to Mazars’ study, ‘Investing in CEE: Inbound M&A report 2023/2024’, and taking into account the criteria set out in the methodology, the CEE region saw an increasing interest from investors outside the region, with a total of 483 transactions, amounting to a combined value of €23.1bn, with 36% more than in previous year. Accordingly, CEE was the only global region to record an increase in cross-border disclosed deal value over the past 12 months.”, said Razvan Butucaru, Partner, Financial Services & Advisory Leader within Mazars Romania.

„Romania ranks among the top four M&A markets in the region in terms of deal volume, gaining more and more visibility to international investors as well as developing a strong local investor base”, he added.

„An active M&A market is not only a condition but also a key facilitator for a robust Capital Market. These two elements are intricately linked, synergising to bolster the growth and development of local companies”, concludes Razvan Butucaru from Mazars.
