Cosmina Plaveti, Head of Investment Banking BCR, speaker at MIRSANU IPO CHALLENGE 2025

Cosmina Plaveti, Head of Investment Banking BCR, is one of the speakers of MIRSANU IPO CHALLENGE 2025.

Cosmina is a seasoned professional with almost 20 years of experience in  banking, currently serving as the Head of Investment Banking at BCR. With a comprehensive background that includes a law degree from the University of Bucharest, an LL.M. in European Business Law, and a master’s degree in European Studies from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, Cosmina brings a wealth of expertise to her role.

Since joining BCR in July 2005, she has skillfully navigated through various facets of the industry including corporate finance, capital markets, and compliance. Her focus has particularly been on funding and capital market advisory services, encompassing both debt capital markets (DCM) and equity capital markets (ECM). Cosmina’s role at BCR has been instrumental in fostering the development of local capital markets. Notably, she managed the Hidroelectrica IPO, where BCR acted as Bookrunner and handled intricate responsibilities such as retail public offering considerations and liaisons with key financial and regulatory institutions like the FSA, the BSE, and RoClear.

In addition to her contributions to equity offerings, Cosmina coordinates the execution of bond issues for BCR, positioning the institution as the largest corporate bond issuer on the local market. Her efforts extend beyond local markets, overseeing international issuances and enhancing BCR’s profile on the European stage.
