Ciprian Dascalu, Chief Economist and Head of Research BCR, speaker of MIRSANU DEALMAKERS SUMMIT 2024

Ciprian Dascalu, Chief Economist and Head of Research BCR, is one of the speakers of MIRSANU DEALMAKERS SUMMIT 2024.

Ciprian Dascalu heads macro and fixed income research covering Romania at BCR. He is also coordinating equity and sectorial research, with a special focus on banking market. He started his career in the banking system in 2003, focusing over the past 20 years on macroeconomic research and financial markets.

Prior to joining BCR, he worked for ING, Unicredit, Millennium and National Bank of Romania. Ciprian was nominated over time the best forecaster by prominent macroeconomic forecast aggregators, such as Consensus Macroeconomics and Focus Economics, both for the whole economy and for specific macro indicators. He ended several years in the top position of Bloomberg forecast ranking for various Romanian main macro indicators.

Ciprian graduated the Finance & Banking Faculty of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and has a master degree at DOFIN.
